Good morning thread

Drove in a bunch of these, it was tough. it was on dirt though. you couldn't run wide tires and everything had to be stock except it had to have a cage and 5 point harness. it was the last race of the night and the track was dry slick and the infield was usually really muddy.

when you came out of the mud and hit that dry slick track it was like being on ice. we tore crap up like crazy. they never done nothing to the infield and it was like a motocross track. busted shocks and if you wasn't strapped in you would fly through the roof after hitting the holes. you never put much money in them.

it wasn't about the speed cause you wasn't getting no traction anyway. more of a survival race. we would be covered with mud after the race. i probably used 16tear aways during one of them. most races we would pack about 5 to ten tear aways on the face sheild. all depended how early it was in the night. but that figure 8 race you put as many as you could on and you would use them all usually.

Some old Figure 8 cars.

First time on the track clean and staright. all these pics i bought from the track photographer. he only got 50 cents a piece back then. and the original is not blurry either. that's me taking a pic of it. he would always take the pics early in the race or any of the others for that fact. but the figure 8 race was finished you couldn't tell what color or number the car was. it was covered with mud.

Eurothrashed my way down to the Amish boot shop and got my money refunded on the over charge
The Hot hot hot young Amish girl charged me 20 clams for the repair of the zippers on my saddle bags.

Thunderstorms rolled through that area the other day and tore the shit outta' some trees.
I guess it was 'straight line winds" and not a ternator.
