For the love of God don’t show me your wood

I am guilty of lazy. This is all I got done today, little saw needs fuel lines and apparently my back isn't used to tossing the big saw and blocks of wood around after not doing much of anything all winter.

There's at least another cord of easy pickings where I get this, so I will be easing back into it, probably tomorrow since I have to run over there for Easter dinner anyway.

By the looks of your pictures...
Scrounging wood is a pastime...
Is it leagal or do you need to carry a permit in case some gooberment type wants to fuck your day up?
Sposed to have a 10 cord permit, never ever had one for here, nobody seems to care bout dead trees, I had a forestry guy see me taking wood and just stop and BS, once was asked if I was cutting green wood,, They dont seem to care unless its marketable timber. Some say its getting the fuel otta da forest. Lotta dead trees around. where i was yesterday there are 3 large firs still standing but dead,, somebody will get them,, I prefer not to fall it I can help it.
When I lived at the coast you needed a permit and they had wood lots to cut at,, now thats another story,, fukin gong show.
Eye think forestry is short personnel as well.
Some guy got busted ,, not sure we will here the hole story.

You used to be able salvage here...
Now there are a bunch of young guys with ticket books driving around in gooberment vehicals, cop wanabees.
They will chase down a loaded pickup that doesn't have a timber-mark displayed.
Yet we are surrounded by beetle killed wood.
Two years ago there was a fire next to town, all the snowflakes were in agreement the fuel load needs to be dropped.
There was a harvest plan developed for the worst side of town, two years after the fire the snowflakes are apposed to any harvest in the area.
