I knew a guy that had a 1961 Matchless just like the one in the second collection. Love those Vincents. People say that the CB750 was the first superbike. Bullshit. The Black Shadow beat it by 20 years.
Oh and Pete; the Black Shadow is a bike that I'd get used to RH shift levers for. My friend's Matchless almost killed me......

I went to school with a guy who's dad named him Vincent after the Black Shadow. I always thought that was damn cool.
hopefully there was a bike in there, with the kid endin up with [and appreciatin] it
IIRC, his dad sold his Vincent around the time he was born (1973). Bought the house and started a family.....
I got this Yamaha wr 426 in my shed. Been here a couple yr I'd say. Some tweaker dropped it off and wanted me to "fix" it. He had thought the water pump needed replaced so he tore the top end off and clutch side all apart.. Lost parts and pieces in the process and he put it back together but it locked up when he kicked it over... I didn't go far into it and pushed it to the side. At the time I was looking for him to come back and I would tell him to take it. I don't have time for a project like that with probably no pay.
Guy disappeared from around here it seems, maybe in the pen or just moved and don't want it.. But I don't own a storage facility and either want it gone or I'll put work into it and ride it. Any advice?

Not sure about Ill, but in Mi. you can get an abandoned title if it's been on your property for 6 month.
