RENFREW !!
Any of you folks own one ? I’m looking to buy one for my Kubota . 32 engine hp ,25 pto hp . I have lotsa stumps needing ground down . Most likely looking at one that the height and swing are controlled by the rear remotes . the woodland mills type looks too limited in ability ,and is kinda lightly built . They aren’t cheeap ,and I only want to cry once . So , any tips ,or experience that Y’all can share will be appreciated .

Aaron , so far , I am interested in the Erskine ,and Quick attach grinders . The QA grinder is interesting ,as it has flow adjusters on the grinder frame so that you don't have to limit how you move the remotes levers . Maybe the others do as well . But the don’t mention it . Also , it wouldn’t be hard to plumn in .

My brother worked with a guy that built one.

Make sure you look at the hydraulic flow requirements of the units. My tractor is in the middle of the GPM requirement range for my QA auger, and I could definitely use more flow. It has decent diggin power, but comes to a complete stop when I raise or lower the FEL boom unless I just BARELY feather it.

I will probably cobble up a 3 pt mounted power pack (PTO pump and reservoir) for it sometime down the road. You could do the same (either PTO or stand alone engine driven) if the unit you want to use needs more than your tractor can give.

I want it to not kill or maim people . So I won’t even attempt anything like that .

:p

Maiming and/or killing may come in useful at some point.

the grinders wheel is PTO driven . The only hydraulic requirement is for the lift and sweep actuators . I already have the two remotes for that .

@Eccentric .
Aaron , looked at Woodland Mills , Land Pride , Woods , Shaver ,Baumalight ,Eskine ,and Quick Attach stump manglers .
Decided on the QA mangler . It’s built the same as the Eskine . They use the same parts ,just one is factory direct , the Eskine is sold through dealers . It is the stoutest of all the ones I looked at .
Got a decent enough deal ( once you become immune to stump mangler costs ) . I was planning on buying it in the Spring . But , the way things are , it may have been costlier to wait . List for 7200+ ,got it for 6500 plus Pa. Extortion bucks ,and shipping .
It will be here in 5-6 weeks .
