Good morning thread

Ordered a set of LP Aventure wheels for the Scooby - Bronze LP1’s with Toyo Open County AT3’s mounted on them - stock size was 225/60/15 - I went from that to 215/75/15 with a 15mm offset

Handles better and corners better due to said offset - also has less body roll due to the stronger sidewall and the ride is more comfy cuz it’s a smaller wheel - mileage is better since the tires aren’t as wide and acceleration is better cuz each wheel is 12lbs lighter than stock - it’s also better in the snow and on the road and on the trails - a total win across the board in every way imaginable…..

Not to mention, it looks way cooler too….

Handles better on what? In the dirt? On pavement? I'd bet that those new tires with all those sipes would be 5 seconds or more slower on a auto x course of 30 seconds. Get yourself a beater car and go rally cross man. Don't think of using your nice new car. FYI. Some Subaru parts are very expensive.

Good morning trannies,
I started the day by putting on a pallet of firewood for my friend.
The rest of the day is to do microscopic, maybe a shower since I smell, but on the other hand, is a week since last and the smell of thousands of farts is intense from the underpants, I do not know, it may be that I postpone the shower to the next week.

Your underpants or someone else’s?

Lift kit,, stacks,,, big pipe??
Lift kits, nah, i had a 6 inch kit on a ferd years ago. problem was the angle of the driveshaft wore u joints out in a hurry. i don't know if the axle could have been rotated some to take the angle out or not. I used to have pics of it. think my son has them. The 2015 Dodge has a 2 inch kit on the front. came that way. i guess to level it out and make room for the 35's that came on it. I'm too old to need a stepladder to get in a truck anymore.

Stacks..A resounding no, i don't care for the looks of them on a pickup.

Big pipe, if it's from the manifold all the way back doing away with the cat and muffler then yes, now not those huge tailpipe lookin things. just maybe next size up from stock.

What most don’t seem to understand when lifting a truck more than an inch or two is you need a new driveshaft and suspension linkage and extension brackets - sure you can do without them as many just lift the truck without worrying about stressing the rest of the parts that are affected but not many folks do shit right - extended shafts with better yokes and better bearings help keep wear at factory level or even less - but yeah - lifted is cool and all as long as it’s done right - I’m not really into a skyjacker kit though, lol

Pipes are dumb - a nice exhaust with headers and a big tip is decent too as long as it’s uniform and not just some tip that’s there for cosmetics
