I guess she was taking it for pain.
The few pine I’ve cut the hinge isn’t as strong as Doug fir but a lot stronger than Western Red Cedar. I’ve tried to swing cedar and it honestly hasn’t gone well it’ll just pop off sideways normally pulling the a big chunk out of the stump.does the hinge hold good on that stuff? its so dry here the pine wont hold for long. normal years it will hold for half the fall. glad i didnt have to swing many in this tract.
sorry for your lossA friend of mine died she overdosed on Tylenol she was a nurse but was suffering from a lung disease

i almost always cut up after the stick starts moving, unless there is some over head danger, in that case i would have started different to leave myself more margin of safety.most OG DF will hinge very well, often you will need to keep sawing after it starts moving to keep it from tearing roots out of the ground.
pine is in the middle, cedars, Redwoods are on the weak side, Tanbarks can hold well, Madrones not so much.
lol, yeah reminds ya not to be complacent.nothing like staying in a bit too long and having the tree try and snatch your tip
The Poles are taking some heat for that pipeline bullshit, we are getting some fingers pointed at us, my guess is the Ukrainians did it or Martians. The polish government been doing everything they can to get away from dependence on Russian fuel for the last few years. Seems they took heed.. but I don’t know how far they got down that path. I would read up on it, but most of the people that write the articles are fucking morons. And would rather call the Polish people a bunch of fascists then actually observe an honest outcome.
I had that happen,, weird to see the roots coming up.most OG DF will hinge very well, often you will need to keep sawing after it starts moving to keep it from tearing roots out of the ground.
Nothing like choosing a root to help swing one of those big old girls around.most OG DF will hinge very well, often you will need to keep sawing after it starts moving to keep it from tearing roots out of the ground.

Shaving the bark works with just about anything.I'll try that. Although, it seems more applicable to something like Doug Fir, right?
Tylenol never once helped me I know other's it doessorry for your loss
i remember when there was controversy over tylenol, then you didnt hear no more about it. i use advil but i dont take it unless i really have to.
Wedging only works if you leave enough wood in your backcut to actually drive a 10" wedge.Sometimes no lean. Sometimes mild. Often a curved stem, that leans against the back cut, but then bends back towards the face cut, about halfway up. Hinge depth about 1/3. Should it be deeper?
Welcome to super990.comidiots all over the world will have to go hungry and cold before they learn the simple truths we already know. i cant imagine being that dumb but........
On redwood, you could shave 6" of bark on each side before you get to woodOn second growth or old growth doug yes, cedar the bark is like hair I don’t think I’ve ever shaved the bark on it.
Bumpone thing you guys should understand, its really hard for us to make suggestions not being there. really every stick is different.
I have a friend that is from Germany and comes to the Yukon to gold mine.He was here over the last weekend to look at an excavator. While I'm bitchin' about gas being $6.70 and food is expensive, the panic being shown in Europe will be off the charts soon.
Very few are prepared, they are out stripping branches off trees in hope to not freeze, most have already spent their savings on food, theft of food and gasoline is rampant
10s of thousands in the streets of many cities, in many countries screaming at their governments for getting them in this predicament.
I'm guessing the situation will degenerate much farther, I wouldn't want to be an elected official over there.
Right extremist groups are coming out of the woodwork, chaos and anarchy, blood and fire.
I'm going to the local car show tomorrow and have hotdogs, a burger or two, stop at the beer garden and enjoy a fine sunny day.
The problem is right now the" Idiots" are in chargeidiots all over the world will have to go hungry and cold before they learn the simple truths we already know. i cant imagine being that dumb but........
