Filled up the kero jet heater the other evening, near 5 gal., popped a cold frostie, done a few chores.
It's gotta' thermostat, works pretty good, that thermostat does.
Only use it if'n I yam only gonna' be in the grudge for a short time or until the woodstove gets up to temp.
A few cold frosties later, the woodstove was doin' it's job, grudge was nice and warm, it was supper time, I called it quits.
Gets home from the werkzhouse next evening and that gawdamned jet heater was outta' fuel...

I’m trying to build a new maintenance team and we’re starting basic handyman maintenance people out at $22/hr - this place gives decent bonuses and good raises
I need a maintenance supervisor and we’re looking to start someone with good building construction background and some leadership skills - said candidate will be a $28/hr hire
Listings are posted on indeed, monster, and Craigslist - we have a sign out on the apron of our main driveway that says now hiring
Have had the listings posted for months now - for fucking months…. Nobody has been hired at all…. Had a couple interviews but once offeres were made, they just didn’t get back to us and they were never heard from again….
Nobody wants to work…. nobody…..
I used to climb chairlift towers - when I started out I was doing that for $6.75 an hour and it took me a handful of years to get up to $10 when I turned 21…. Nobody wants to work today, even when the pay is light years better than it used to be, and it’s a compete fucking joke….

Think my first real job paid 1.25 an hour. i had a paper route for years before that and i'm sure it would have been a lot lower. never averaged out what i made. after you collected from the people and paid the paper bill you got what was left over.
Long as our morons in the white house keep paying these people to stay home, they will.
You sound like my boss, I'll tell you what I told him, inflation is a btich, and you need to give everyone a raise by atlest 20%.
For you add another $10/an hr should get you somewhere.

Problem is, if all these companies give these folks high dollar raises, well guess who they are going to pass this extra expense on to. we the consumer. they are just going to raise prices. and everything will go up and the workers raise will mean nothing cause they will be paying more for everything. People can't see this and liberals are too stupid to see it. like all this free shit biden talks about...nothing is free and someone is going to pay, guess who.
“Pay me more money and then I’ll work harder” is thought that only comes from the front line hourly employees - and said mentality prevents them from moving up much in pay and heavily limits them on advancement in position or title
