Not So Pros v3.0

ya it aint oak. i have a half acre of it, i doubt i will get it all before it rots. i been watching them grow since i was 12 and it pisses me off.
i have 200+ cords of oak and hickory tops if i want it. maybe the boy will make some money with it, but i doubt it all gets cut before it rots either.

@greendohn would have that s/s and be swillin' cold frosties in the grudge by 2pm.

Once he got started.

I always thought eggs were way underpriced..

A person can get 10 chickens for free and buy a bag of laying crumbles, and by the time they go through that $10 worth of feed, you “might” have 6 dozen eggs if ya lucky.

Then I see a dozen eggs for sale at Aldi’s for less than a buck...

Fuck having chickens at that rate...

Tell me about it......

We are in the process of building 3 new barns to comply with the cage free legislation coming in 2025. Over 3 mil per barn.

Massachusetts now can only sell cage free as of the first of the year. We used to send allot of our eggs out there. They say the people are now pissed because their egg prices went up over night.

Those morons over there are the ones who voted for it......

Although a lot of stores will offer cheap eggs to draw people in the store. Walmart is known to do that. Sure they lose money on every dozen eggs sold, but they make that up for all the other groceries in the cart.

Beef is a $3 per pound venture if ya grow it and fatten it yourself..
and steaks are a damn small % of the net product.

But I do that, because I can make a better product than the general public gets to see without paying boutique prices for prime beef at a specialty shop.
Most stuff available to the public is choice or lower.

I know I can buy pork and beef for cheaper than I can raise it too. Our customers know they can get it cheaper, but you can’t buy the quality we produce.

I just wish I could raise chicken. Store chicken is awful

I try to avoid the standard commercially processed food of any type, my over all health has improved.
The pain of it, for me, is having to cook nearly everything from scratch, half my available working time is spent in my tiny kitchen.
I need a housekeeper or maybe a nanny.

@Ckelp in a french maid costume?

Aunt Bea is the quintessential housekeeper, bustling around making everything tidy and everybody happy.
I kinda bent, no surprise, but have you ever been scrubbed like a five year old boy in the bath tub?
You know, the business like mother thing where they peel off some of your hide.

I used to lie to my mother about going somewhere, I'd ditch my car at a friend's house and go spend the night with the GF.
Mary's mother was all on board about it, everything. Anyway, we played in hot water, ran the tank out a lot, showers and that big bath tub.
About the time the hot water was about to give out, Mary's Mom would come in and scrub us to a fair thee well, dry us off and with a pat on the bottom, sent us to bed.
It was wonderful.

Wait...what??? You would take a bath with your girlfriend, then her mom would scrub you both down??? 😳 Sounds like one of SS's pornos!

Last time i was in Ontario the food prices were just as expensive as in the Yukon
Plus you guys get the bonus tax, just 5% here.
We dont pay tax on food unless it is ready to eat. Such as a rotisserie chicken or such. Things like toothpaste and soap get hit with the 13 percent government grab
