The Husqvarna thread

I have a 266xp coming in from kansas
It was 6 months ago a guy wanted to sell it he never sent it.
I've never seen it supposed to be nice condition with a metal flag.
The guy dropped it off to a a guy on ope to send it.
I just needed the topcover
But it was so cheap for the whole saw
I bought it
I got two very nice 272s from him before.
Tor is sending me a 266xpg this summer
I've always wanted one.
I ordered 2 266 and 2 272 hyway popups
They are 20.00 a piece plus ship
On the hyway website
The one I'm running has been impressive
It's got more than 6 gallons through it.

Yessir. All them are the unholy spawn from c.a.r.b. and the epa buggering the saw mfg's.
I really don't see any of these modern saws lasting 37 year's like that 266 much less having
Parts support from manufacturers.
I'm sure they run fine but I don't care
I want something I can service at home
Instead of trying to find a dealer
That has diagnostic equipment
Nobody around here does.
I would be in a blinding rage if a 800-1200.00 saw fukd up and I couldn't fix it.

I get what your saying and I agree. Saw feeds my family, so I am open to new stuff. If I can pack around less weight then I'll try it. But in reality a 395 is no longer viable to keep repairing after a couple years at best. When I come home and shower, eat supper, and then go patch my saws back together for the next day then it's time to get new saws. With everything going new technology I really have no choice but to be open minded.

Ported 395 is where its at for power. I'm running a ported 500i now trying to transition into the "tech"...

Ported 500i ain't nothing to sneeze at I'm telling ya. Fine rig
