Ya,, sometimes.
Our billing tapes for long distance flagged any long distance call over 100 minutes.
We would put the number up on the control panel and have a listen.
Usually some long distance love affair,,, it would be an expesive call back then.
In the old mechanical exchange,, I was in my 20s, we had an old coot who had numbers written down.
He called them hot numbers,, he would check them out to get the local goods. Just like an old woman.
Never did any good chit myself.
If you pissed me off back then,, come late friday afternoon your line was changed to a payfone,, so when you went to make a call it asked deposit coins or for 25 cents.
Nobody worked the weekend so you had that till monday.

@thomas1 I'm trying to figure out this mod thing. Maybe you can help. I want to do something like they did on AS where when someone posts a certain word, a different less offensive word will be substituted. For instance, if someone where to post the word "Fiat", instead the phrase "Awesome Dodge" would be posted. Can you you help out a fellow mod?

That sounds like a bad time, I've been to robs house, so I know what a bad time is.
